PoSH ["The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 "] Act
WEGENUS PRIVATE LIMITED shall endeavor to comply with the Principles as set out in the PoSH Act and prohibit any form of sexual harassment at the workplace.
We believe that "A SAFE WORKPLACE IS EVERY WOMEN's RIGHT".
The sexual harassment results in a violation of the fundamental rights of a woman under Constitution of India including i) "Right to Equality under Article 14 and 15"; ii) "Right to Life" and "Right to live with dignity" under Article 21" iii) Right to Practice any Profession or to carry on any occupation, trade or business; which includes a right to a safe environment free from sexual harassment.
We recognize the right of every woman to a safe and secure workplace environment irrespective of her age or employment/work status i.e. women working or visiting the workplace, whether, in the capacity of regular, temporary, co-worker, a contract worker, probationer, trainee, apprentice, ad-hoc, or daily wages basis is protected.
We prohibit “Sexual Harassment” including anyone or more of the following unwelcome acts or behaviour (whether directly or by implication), namely: 1. Physical contact or advances; 2. A demand or request for sexual favours; 3. Making sexually coloured remarks; 4. Showing pornography; 5. Any other unwelcome physical, verbal or non-verbal conduct of a sexual nature
We prohibit the Hostile Work Environment. Sexual Harassment at Workplace refers to two common forms of inappropriate behavior:
1] Quid Pro Quo (literally ‘this for that’) - Implied or explicit promise of preferential/detrimental treatment in employment or Implied or express threat about her present or future employment status
2] Hostile Work Environment - Creating a hostile, intimidating, or offensive work environment or giving Humiliating treatment likely to affect her health or safety.
We have constituted ICC to redress concern of any aggrieved person at workplace. In case of any concern, we appeal you to report it to Mrs. Mayuri Mane (Advocate), The Chairman of ICC. The Complaint shall be redressed by following the Principles of Natural Justice in compliance with the PoSH Act.
